Initially associated with farm machinery and boats, Cox would enter the towable vacation product market in 1963. Cox built a popular fiberglass camping trailer in the late 1960s that allowed the company to gain a foothold in the recreational vehicle market. The Cox line-up of camping trailers span up to 12 feet in length suited for small group weekend trips to the campground. Struggling through the 1980s, the Cox trailer business would formally file for bankruptcy in 1990.
